The Princess and the Pea is a classic fairy tale that has been enjoyed by children for generations. This beautifully illustrated version of the story features stunning artwork and a charming retelling of the beloved classic.

Once upon a time, there was a prince who was looking for a princess to marry. He traveled all over the world, but he could not find anyone who he thought was worthy of being his bride.

One stormy night, a young woman knocked on the door of the prince's castle. She was soaked to the skin and shivering from the cold. The prince invited her in and gave her some dry clothes to wear.

The prince's mother was not very welcoming to the young woman. She thought that she was just a commoner and not fit to be the prince's wife. However, the prince was kind to her and insisted that she stay.

That night, the prince's mother put a pea under twenty mattresses in the young woman's bed. She wanted to see if the young woman was a real princess. If she was, she would be able to feel the pea through the mattresses.

The next morning, the prince's mother asked the young woman how she had slept. The young woman said that she had not slept well at all. She said that she had felt something hard and uncomfortable under her mattresses.

The prince's mother was overjoyed. She knew that the young woman was a real princess. She was sensitive enough to feel the pea through the twenty mattresses.

The prince and the princess were married and lived happily ever after.

The Princess and the Pea is a timeless fairy tale that teaches children about the importance of kindness and compassion. It is a story that will be enjoyed by children of all ages.
