The mission, codenamed Operation Bravo Two Zero, was launched in January 1991, just weeks after the start of the Gulf War. The SAS team was tasked with infiltrating Iraq and capturing General Adnan Khairallah Tulfah, a key figure in Saddam Hussein's regime. The team's journey took them deep into enemy territory, where they faced numerous challenges, including ambushes, capture, and torture.

Despite the odds, the SAS team ultimately succeeded in capturing Tulfah and bringing him back to Allied lines. The mission was a major success for the SAS and played a significant role in the Allied victory in the Gulf War.

The Author

Andy McNab is a former SAS sergeant and the author of numerous bestselling books about his experiences in the military.
